I can't believe it's been almost a year since my last blog post. Where did the year go?
Here's what happened this past year.
I started a new web series with my husband, Scott, called OMG Ghosts! A show that spoofs ghosts hunters. Managed to produce 7 episodes of the 8 episode season. Man was that a learning experience.
I then closed my studio down due to health and financial reasons. It was painfully bitter sweet. I lost my happy place and being around the most talented group of artists I've ever had the pleasure working with. I miss them dearly.
I wanted to bring my first concept back, The League Of Supergays, so I decided to try my hand at doing a weekly web comic. Learning a lot about story structure and story telling. As well as keeping an audience interested. Yikes is it difficult.
Then, I had a crisis of career path. Do I stay in the lane if a starving artist, or go all in with my day job. I still don't know, in all honesty. What I do know? I'm still motivated to rise the ranks within my current job. I'm also not done creating, writing and producing my own projects.
Can I do both? Can I work a normal 9 to 5 while making comics and cartoons?
Time will tell.
