People have been asking me, almost daily, "Where's Surrender?" My Answer is always "she's still in production..." But to be honest, I'm scared to release her.
With the recent cancelation of Buzz Throwdown and the soft welcome League of Supergays received, I don't want to see Surrender meet their same fate. I know putting anything out there for public consumption is a gamble, but I only see Surrender as a winner. While I put the finishing touches on my next project with my dear friend and partner in crime, DJ, with Call Center, I find myself more and more confident that Surrender will soon make her way towards viewers. And I feel in my heart of hearts that she will make a blood splattered slash and splash. *Roqitz Say hello to Franklin Crane, the pint sized call center manager for New Horizon Cable Company. Franklin is a no nonsense micro manager who despises incompetence and hates service complaints even more.
What happens when his team are suspects in a murder investigation, where the victims are his company's subscribers? Hell hath no fury like a mad man manager. *Roqitz Meet Laquisha Jenkins, the self proclaimed office diva of my show, Call Center. Laquisha is sassy, fierce and tells it like it is. Laquisha gets her enjoyment from telling off rude callers, while making sure her weave is right. She's definitely one of my favorite characters on the show.
*Roqitz So, after the cancelation of my last show Buzz Throwdown, I've been working on my next venture. I'm proud to present to you, Call Center, a show I co-created with my buddy, DJ.
Call Center is a new series I'm producing about a group of customer service challenged call center agents, whose unruly customers start dying off... In horrific gruesome ways. Careful how you treat your call service rep, you'll never who's on the other end. Stay tuned for more information about this show! *Roqitz Well, it's official. I've decided to cancel my weekly entertainment recap show, Buzz Throwdown. The decision was sad to make, but very necessary. It's disheartening to work so hard on a show with a bunch of talented cast and crew, only to not have it watched. Actually, it pisses me off to no end, but that's my issue.
I walk away from this experience smarter and more driven then ever before. I now know that producing a show is a team effort, not just in production, but in marketing and standing behind said project. The next time I recruit a team, I will make sure they are as driven as I am to make the next project a success, while never compromising my standards. Hard lesson to learn, but very necessary. Till next time... *Roqitz As seen on this week's episode of
Buzz Throwdown! Gavin's new T-shirt line, I H8 Viv Wear! And we're giving away five "I H8 Viv" shirts to our YouTube subscribers! Selection will happen on Thursday at 5pm, Pacific Standard time! The lucky YouTube subscribers will be announced at the end of this Friday's all new episode of Buzz Throwdown! So what are you waiting for?! Head over the the Xeta Nation YouTube channel and subscribe! Good luck! *Roqitz So my weekly web series is struggling. Views on YouTube are scarce and our subscribers have stopped. As a producer, I have to take action if I want Buzz Throwdown to be a success.
So I made the episodes considerably shorter, reworked the animation rigging and tweaking the show’s storytelling to gain more viewers. All this work done, and nothing. So, today, I'm gonna be a one man marketing mad man! I want, no, I NEED Buzz Throwdown to be successful, as I have an amazing cast and a fabulous crew who deserve to have their work seen. Do your part in supporting an independent creator and spread the word! Buzz Throwdown is awesomely inappropriate! Check it out! *Roqitz Today was a bad day. Work stuff , production issues, personal stuff, I was seriously ready to pull out my rapidly graying hair. Then a coworker and friend gave me her happy meal toy, and sure enough, my day got better. Check out my new Superman ring that's available at Carl's Jr. As soon as I put the ring on, my attitude changed, and my thought process became clear. What started out as a bad day, soon became a breezy one. Thank you Becca! Muah!!
*Roqitz I always try to keep up in the latest trends in fashion, then add my own style to it. This week, Vivian is gonna be smidge risqué, as she tries to impress her secret admirer. Gavin's response will be... Very Gavin...
